Military Experience:
Lieutenant Colonel, Retired, Minnesota Army National Guard. Retired after more than 30 years in the Minnesota Army National Guard and the United States Army Reserve as a citizen-soldier, serving first as an enlisted soldier and later as an officer.
Served two tours of duty in Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2004-2005 and 2009-2010). In his most recent tour, Jerry served as Assistant Chief of Staff, G4 (senior logistics officer) for the 34th “Red Bull” Infantry Division, Minnesota Army National Guard, which had operational control of southern Iraq.
Employment Experience Prior to Establishing Law Practice in Brainerd:
Reference Attorney for Thomson-West (now Thomson-Reuters), the largest legal publisher in the United States. Gained significant legal research skills while in this position. Law Clerk within the Fourth Judicial District, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Prior to attending law school, Jerry worked in the following areas: Technical Writer and Technical Instructor (electronic technology) and as a Special Education Teacher.
